NCREP carried out the project for the rehabilitation and remediation of deficiencies and weaknesses in the Vila de Óbidos urban complex, including the Óbidos town walls and castle. In order to achieve all the proposed objectives, an inspection and diagnosis of the walls was carried out (outer perimeter, interior and round path), as well as of the extant defence elements (towers, turrets and castle).

In addition, and with the support of a conservation and restoration team, anomalies in the integrated heritage were also detected, resulting in a rehabilitation project targeting the specific problems encountered, in a strategy of preserving and safeguarding the built heritage.
