NCREP carried out the structural rehabilitation project for the Monument Church of S. Francisco do Porto, located in Porto city centre. The project aimed to provide the structural elements of the church with the safety and use conditions necessary for its proper functioning, preserving and valuing its architectural, constructional and structural qualities and ensuring respect for the principles stated by the International Letters and Recommendations.

The proposed interventions, based on a comprehensive prior survey of the construction elements and existing pathologies, sought to minimise the impact on the structure. The structural solutions recommended were based on traditional materials and techniques and took into account the high heritage value of the building and the building complex that it is a part of, the Monumento Nacional.
