Tiago Ilharco

Tiago Ilharco holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s in Built Heritage Rehabilitation from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), having attended the “13th International Course on Wood Conservation Technology” (ICCROM, Norway).

He has been working in the area of the built heritage rehabilitation since 2005, being a founding partner and manager of NCREP. In this time, he has participated in numerous projects involving the inspection, diagnostics, structural analysis and sizing of rehabilitation and strengthening solutions for old buildings.

He is a founding partner and president of the Supervisory Board of APRUPP (the Portuguese Association for Urban Rehabilitation and Heritage Protection), and visiting lecturer at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Escola das Artes. He has published several articles in the field of the inspection and strengthening of old structures. Member of the COST actions FP1101 and FP1402 and the Technical Committee CEN/TC250/SC5.
