Carlos Rodrigues has a bachelor’s degree (2005) and a PhD (2012) in Civil Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). He developed his doctoral thesis in the area of structural monitoring, with supervision of Prof. Joaquim Figueiras.

He has a wide professional experience working, in the past, for AFACONSULT and NewMENSUS offices. He was also an independent professional between 2012 and 2021. In this context, a number of significant works has been carried out relating to inspection, diagnostic, monitoring and structural design.

He was invited Adjunct Professor at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) and at the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) between 2012 and 2020, being responsible for courses of structural inspection and strengthening, concrete structures, and theory of structures. He has supervised more than a dozen master theses.

He was also a research member of CONSTRUCT (FEUP), being author of a significant number of papers in conference proceedings and international journals. Author of an international patent. He has been member of research projects teams.

Carlos Rodrigues has joined NCREP since 2021, carrying out projects and studies concerning the inspection, diagnostic, monitoring, structural analysis and design of structures.
