Bruno Quelhas
Bruno Quelhas holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering Structures from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) and a doctorate from the University of Padova (Italy) in “Structural Rehabilitation of Historical and Modern Buildings”.
He has been active in the area of heritage rehabilitation since 2005 and was a founding partner of NCREP. In the time since then, he has participated in numerous projects and studies concerning the inspection, diagnostics, structural analysis and sizing of rehabilitation and strengthening solutions for built stock. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Portuguese Association for Urban Rehabilitation and Heritage Protection.
For two years, he assisted the Italian Department of Civil Protection and the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities in managing and implementing post-earthquake emergency activities to help safeguard cultural heritage in Abruzzo (Italy), following the 2009 earthquake.
He has published several articles in the area of structural rehabilitation, in conference proceedings and reference journals at both national and international level.
