Ângelo Carvalho holds a master’s in Civil Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where his thesis topic was “Earthquake Safety Assessment of Reinforced Concrete Bridges”, under the guidance of Professor Raimundo Delgado.

He began his career as a structural designer in the HDP office in 2009, where he participated in several projects concerning residential building structures, art works and temporary structures.

In 2017 he joined FASE – Estudos e Projectos, SA, where he developed several structural projects for industrial installations, as well as for art works and other public works.

He joined NCREP as a structural engineer in 2020 and has since been a part of several projects involving the inspection, diagnostics, structural analysis and sizing of rehabilitation and strengthening solutions for old buildings, namely the Casa do Infante in Porto, the Pátio do Bispo and Hotel Cheese&Wine in Lisbon, among others.
