NCREP was responsible for carrying out the Structural Inspection and Diagnosis of buildings, churches and the Óbidos Castle Wall.
The object of study consists of the walls and some singular structures, presented in the document issued by the Municipality of Óbidos. The main objective is the technical and artistic characterization, the study and diagnosis of anomalies, the identification and deduction of the mechanisms of degradation and alteration that reach the elements under study, through an integrated survey of their conservation status, and the definition of intervention measures .
It is emphasized that the intervention has no consequences on the archaeological heritage of the property, and provides for the maintenance of its use in the way in which it is currently. Whenever possible, the rehabilitation / restoration of existing building elements and the use of solutions based on traditional materials and techniques were chosen.
In this sense, historical documentation was consulted on the buildings, as well as the elements provided by the Municipality of Óbidos, namely the drawn pieces that resulted from the topographic survey and some historical elements.
